Our collection contains previews of images of ocean and sea surface taken by various satellite remote sensing instruments. The focus is on manifestations of surface oil films and look-alikes. Joint processing of data from active and passive instruments operating in microwave and optical ranges is expected to promote development of new, more effective techniques for the detection, descrimination and assessment of oil pollution of the sea surface.
This collection is built as part of ESA/INTAS project MONITORING OF OIL POLLUTION USING EARTH OBSERVATION DATA: A MULTI-SENSOR, MULTI-PLATFORM APPROACH (MOPED).
